Is this the most important school lesson?

In his memoir, WHAT I TALK ABOUT WHEN I TALK ABOUT RUNNING, the renowned Japanese novelist, Haruki Murakami, wrote, "The most important lesson we learn in school is that we can't learn the most important lessons in in school."

Is it true?

There's definitely truth in it, right? Too much, right?

The question is WHY? Why in the heck aren't we teaching the most important lessons in school? Isn't that what school is for? Shouldn't we be teaching students what they MOST need to know?

It's definitely what this site is for. Keep immersing yourself in it. Learn from the best. People like Murakami. Even if my aim is to prove him wrong.
